Preparing structured fabrication and assembly RFQs
Project only the files and requirements a capable provider needs, then preserve assumptions and access as part of the quote.

1. Select made work from one revision
Use the compiled BOM and review state to choose custom parts or assembly work. Avoid mixing files from different revisions.
2. State the requirement
Include quantities, material, tolerances, finish, process constraints, inspection needs, delivery region and requested timing.
3. Match evidence-backed capabilities
Filter provider locations, processes, envelope, credentials and service regions. A directory keyword alone is not a capability match.
4. Grant minimum access
Share only selected assets through an expiring, audited grant. General web research never receives private geometry or drawings.
5. Compare assumptions as well as price
Quotes must preserve exclusions, lead time, inspection basis and revision. An accountable person approves recipients and every external send.
