Preparing an assembly package for WorldIR
Create one fixed package containing the source assembly and the evidence needed to understand, review and source it.

1. Export the complete STEP assembly
Use a STEP assembly rather than a flattened mesh when possible. Preserve component instances and assembly structure. Do not rename parts merely to make a benchmark look better; serving keeps names, but deterministic identification does not rely on them.
2. Add the source BOM
Include CSV or JSON with the designations and quantities your team currently uses. WorldIR compares that source to compiler-derived instances; it does not silently overwrite either side.
3. Attach decision-relevant documents
Add PDF or text manuals and drawings that settle installation, tolerance or service questions. Avoid including unrelated archives: each asset becomes part of the fixed evidence boundary.
4. Check confidentiality
The package is tenant-private by default. Remove secrets that are not needed for the engineering decision and confirm that your organization has authority to upload each source.
5. Publish one immutable revision
After upload, freeze the asset set and submit it. A later correction becomes a new revision so prior reports, citations and approvals remain reproducible.
